Talks of the Morning

Inspired by memories of my mother gathering with friends and neighbours for the morning coffee, this collection captures those intimate moments where conversation flows freely, bathed in the soft glow of the rising sun. These women, their spirits warmed by light and connection, find inspiration in the ancient ritual of reading the future from the patterns left in upturned coffee cups. They anticipate gifts, manifest good news, and share their hopes with one another. Created as my final graduation project at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Damascus University, this collection reflects the profound connection between everyday rituals and the timeless bond between memory and culture.
